Canada Student Visa Eligibility Requirements
It’s easy to figure out if you’re eligible to study in Canada; all you have to do is get decent grades in your previous academics and pass the Language Proficiency Tests.
To be admitted to a course in Canada, students must submit the following documents with their application.
Attested XII class exams mark certificates.
GMAT score and copies of English Proficiency Examination (TOEFL/IELTS).
CBT (Computer Based Test) scores vary by course.
For a diploma or advanced diploma, you’ll need a 55 percent average in your best four subjects, a 6.0 overall IELTS band, and 5.5 minimum bands in each subject. If you can justify it, you can take a one-year break from school.
For a Bachelor’s degree, you’ll need an 80 percent score on the SAT and an IELTS score of at least 6 bands in each subject.

TOEFL IBT >90-100 is preferred by Canada’s top ten universities.
7.5 IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
The Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 90 points, with an average of 80 points per part and a minimum of 3 points on the speaking test.
Intake in Canada
In a given year, there are three student intakes: January, May, and September.
The least amount of food is consumed in May, while the most is consumed in September.
As universities close their applications, the January university application should begin 1 to 1.5 years in advance. 5–6 months prior to intake, the August to September intake for students closes, and the May intake closes from September to November.
The September intake period runs from December through January.
Proficiency in English
Applicants from universities outside of Canada who do not teach in English must submit the results of an English language competence examination as part of their application.
At the time of application submission, tests must have been taken within the previous 24 months.
